The 10-Week Programme to Finally Speak French.

And Mean

You already understand French. You follow conversations, you read with ease, and you listen without difficulty.

But when it is your turn to speak — you hesitate. You translate in your head. You apologise before you have even started.

This programme is designed to help you close that gap — through structure, live practice, and repetition.

Ten weeks. Two live sessions per week. A structured method built for adults who already have French — and are ready to finally use it.

This is a small group by design. Cohort starts Monday 20 April 2026.

You have been learning French for years. So why can’t you speak it?

You are not a beginner.

You have studied. You have practised. You have watched French films, listened to podcasts, read articles.

And yet the moment someone speaks to you in French — or worse, the moment you have to speak — something freezes.

You know this feeling.

You understand the conversation — but when it’s your turn, the words disappear.

You build sentences in English first, then try to translate. It takes too long.

You apologise for your French before you have even spoken.

You avoid situations where you would have to speak.

You wonder if you are just ‘bad at languages’ — even though you are clearly not.

This is not a knowledge problem. You have the French. You are missing something else entirely.

Why most French learners never make it to speaking. And what actually fixes it.

Mental translation

When you learned French, you learned to construct sentences from English. Your brain builds in your native language and translates. This works for reading. It breaks down when you try to speak— because real conversation moves too fast.

The solution is not more vocabulary. It is rewiring how your brain reaches for language.

The perfection trap

You wait until you know the right word. You hesitate until the grammar is correct. You edit yourself before you have even spoken. This is why many intelligent adults stay silent in French. Native speakers make mistakes constantly, but they keep talking without stopping or overthinking everything they say and lose opportunities daily.

No real speaking practice

You can read a textbook alone. You cannot practise speaking alone. And for most adults living outside France there is no real opportunity to speak regularly with people. One student told me they would pay for one hour weekly to practise in a group. This program solves that completely in ten weeks fast.

Ten weeks from now, you will speak French. Not perfectly. Genuinely.

What each week looks like

Every Monday you learn one concept — and immediately put it to work. No passive listening. You are given a task, you work in a small group, and you present back to the room.

Every Wednesday you speak. No teaching, no warm-up. You are put under structured pressure — role plays, debates, hot seat — and you rise to it.
Every Saturday a short recorded module goes deeper into one real conversation problem. Something you can watch, rewatch, and apply immediately.

The rhythm is deliberate. Monday you learn and do. Wednesday you perform. Saturday you go deeper.

This is not passive learning

You will speak from day one.

You will be placed in a small group — carefully selected. Your group will depend on you showing up.

You will be given structured tasks with real constraints. You will present in front of others. You will be corrected, encouraged, and challenged — in every session.

This programme is designed to be slightly uncomfortable, in the right way. That discomfort is what closes the gap between the French you have and the French you actually use.

If you are looking for something to watch passively, this is not it.

Ten weeks. One transformation.

Your First Real French Conversation

You speak French on day one. Silence broken by doing, not discussing.

Sound Like You Actually Speak French

Pronunciation, rhythm, natural flow. Ten habits that instantly sound more native.

Think in French, Not in English

You stop building sentences in English first. Rapid response replaces mental translation.

French for Real Life

You handle real situations — travel, social, daily life — built around your actual interests.

Communicate Without Perfect Grammar

You break the perfection trap. Communication over correctness.

Express Opinions, Disagree, Debate

You move beyond functional French into real intellectual conversation.

Richer, More Precise French

Your speech becomes more expressive, more adult, more you.

Hold a Full Conversation

You sustain longer exchanges — 10–15 minutes uninterrupted.

Spontaneous French

You speak without preparation. Surprise topics. No time to overthink.

You Speak French

You speak spontaneously. The French you have becomes the French you use.

I'm Maud, your coach.

I built this programme because I lived this gap myself.

I am Maud Druart — Belgian-born, based in Zurich, and the creator of Learn French with Maud, a community of more than 1.5 million learners.

But before all of that, I was someone who arrived in a new country with four languages, fifteen years of business experience, and an Executive MBA — and still couldn’t fully express who I was.

Credibility does not transfer automatically. When you cannot express yourself, people cannot see you. I felt that. I understand it from the inside.

I have spent three years helping adults close the gap between the French they have and the French they use. Through coaching, through live programmes, through content that reaches people in 30 countries every week.

What a participant says

"Maud taught me how to speak with confidence. I now speak French during my shows, in radio interviews, and with my French friends at dinners. Even though I still make mistakes, my French has significantly improved to the point where I can now read books at a B1 level — and the journey is still ongoing."

FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

What level of French do I need?

This programme is designed for B1–B2 level. You should be able to understand French when you hear it, read without too much difficulty, and have a basic foundation in grammar — even if it is rusty. If you are a complete beginner, this is not the right programme for you at this stage.

What if I miss a session?

Every live session is recorded. If you miss one, the recording is available to you within 24 hours. Live attendance is strongly encouraged — the speaking practice cannot be replicated by watching — but life happens and no one is penalised.

I have tried to improve my French before and it didn’t work. Why would this be different?

Most French courses teach content. This programme teaches speaking. The difference is structural: you practise live, in real conversations, with real people, twice a week. There is no passive watching, no grammar drills in isolation. You speak from day one. That is what makes it different.

Is there a refund policy?

Yes. You have a 24-hour “Peace of Mind” window after your registration. If you realise the programme is not the right fit for you, simply email within 24 hours and you will receive a full refund — no questions asked. After this period, all registrations are final. This allows the group to remain committed and the experience to work as intended.

How do I know if my French is the right level?

When you apply, you will be asked to write 5–8 sentences in French about something simple — a recent trip, a place you love. This gives a realistic picture of your level. If, after reviewing your application, I believe the programme is not the right fit for you, I will let you know honestly and issue a full refund immediately.

The time is 19:00 Zurich. What does that mean for me?

19:00 Zurich is 13:00 in New York, 12:00 in Chicago, 10:00 in Los Angeles, and 18:00 in London. This slot is designed to work for the majority of participants in the US and Europe. If the time is truly impossible for you, the recordings are available.

What happens if the cohort is full when I apply?

If places are no longer available, you will be added to the waitlist for the next cohort automatically. Given that this is a live programme with limited places, early application is recommended.

You already have the French. It is time to speak it.

You have been understanding French for years. Listening, reading, following along.

The gap between understanding and speaking does not close by itself. It closes by doing.

Ten weeks. Two sessions per week. A structured method. A community of adults doing exactly the same thing.
